Plan de Energías Renovables 2011- 2020. Lodos de Estación Depuradora de Aguas Residuales (EDAR) Según el PNIR, en 2006 se generaron 1.064.972 t en materia seca de lodos. De estos lodos, aproximadamente el 75% puede considerarse como fracción combustible, y el 25% restante, cenizas. Las principales aplicaciones de estos lodos son: - Digestión anaerobia (con o sin aprovechamiento energético del biogás generado). - Deshidratación, seguida de compostaje y/o secado térmico. - Estabilización aerobia. - Estabilización química. - Secado térmico e incineración. - Secado térmico y coincineración en cementeras. Partiendo de la generación actual, se ha realizado la siguiente estimación de generación al año 2020: Tabla 4.8.26. Estimación generación lodos EDAR Fuente: RESA, Estudio Situación y potencial de valorización energética directa de residuos Para estos residuos, el PNIR establece para 2015 el objetivo de que el 67% de los mismo sean destinados a aplicación en suelos agrícolas, dejando el resto para valorización en otros suelos u otros tipos de valorización, incineración y depósito en vertedero (matizando que los objetivos de eliminación, como el vertedero, deben entenderse como topes máximos). Así pues, se ha considerado como disponible el 33% de todo lo generado en 2015 (para 2020 se ha estimado el mismo valor): Tabla 4.8.27.
