About the Author Carolyn Roos, Ph.D., is a mechanical engineer with experience in building systems energy efficiency, mechanical design in hydroelectric facilities, and solar thermal applications. With the Washington State University Extension Energy Program, she provides technical assistance to commercial and industrial clients on energy system efficiency topics. She provides technical support to the Northwest CHP Technical Assistance Partnerships with a focus on CHP assessments and biopower applications.
