Injectors must incorporate the appropriate fuel delivery and air mixture scheme to provide an ideal combustible mixture of air and fuel. Reducing NOx and increasing CO will likely require some type of exhaust cleanup. This exhaust cleanup is ideally a passive device that meets the durability, low maintenance characteristics of the product.
