The energy production systems con tain one or more ?exible, in?atable containers supported by Water, at least one of Which is an anaerobic digester contain ing bacteria Which can produce energy sources such as meth ane or hydrogen from aquatic plants or animals. The contain ers of the present invention can be large enough to provide adequateamountsofenergytosupportoff-shoreactivitiesyet arerelativelyeasytomanufactureandshiptoremoteproduc tion sites.
