Samenwerking bedrijven en kennisinstellingen: Ecoshape Achtergrond Kennis Netwerk Delta Water bevordert de samenwerking in de gouden driehoek. Bedrijven en kennisinstellingen vormen hiervan de basis en de overheid faciliteert. Dat deze samenwerking niet altijd eenvoudig is, maar wél succesvol kan zijn, wordt geïllustreerd door het innovatieprogramma Building with Nature. Huib de Vriend, directeur van Ecoshape, legt uit. Presentatie Building with nature heeft als doel: laten zien dat het kan, (water) bouwen uitgaande van het natuurlijke systeem,gebruikmakendvandatsysteem,entegelijkertijdnieuwekansenervoorscheppend. Een uitgangspunt was om in de praktijk te leren. Boskalis en Van Oord waren de initiatiefnemers. Het consortium heeft een budget van 30 miljoen euro voor de periode 2008 – 2012, waarvan de helft van de partners komt en de helft van de overheden. De wetenschappers hebben interdisciplinair samengewerkt. Met de bedrijven is generieke praktijkkennis ontwikkeld en zijn nieuwe gereedschappen ontwikkeld.
