ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I would like to thank several individuals who have helped me with this endeavor. First of all, I would like to extend my gratitude to Dr. Keith Woodbury, my principle advisor throughout my work with The University of Alabama. His guidance and assistance during my work on this paper along with mentorship during my employment the Alabama Industrial Assessment Center have been invaluable. Being able to contribute to an organization that provides a public service as the Alabama Industrial Center does has not only increased my technical knowledge on actual situations but also has increased my personal skills by communicating with many types of employees in many different types of working environments. The coursework provided throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies have proved necessary and being able to draw from a pool of knowledgeable professors for aid with my research cannot go unmentioned. I would also like to thank the Alabama Industrial Assessment Center for funding my graduate studies with The University of Alabama. Without this contribution, I would not have been able to continue my studies and fulfill my goal of achieving a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. My experiences with the AIAC will always be held in high regard, and the experiences and knowledge I have gained will undoubtedly further my development as an engineer as well as a person.
