Plan de Energías Renovables 2011- 2020. Como se ha comentado, existen cuatro tecnologías diferenciadas para el área solar termoeléctrica. Actualmente existen proyectos comerciales de todas de ellas (cilindro parabólico, torre, discos Stirling y lentes de Fresnel). En las siguientes tablas se muestra la distribución de las iniciativas por tecnologías para los próximos años. Tabla 4.11.2. Porcentaje de potencia de las diferentes tecnologías por años % de potencia Fuente: IDAE La situación actual del sector muestra que el 94% de las iniciativas son de tecnología cilindro-parábólica, calculado sobre los 2.471 MW de proyectos con posibilidad de instalarse hasta 2013 incluido. El 2% es de receptor central de torre, el 3% de discos-Stirling y el restante 1% de lentes de Fresnel. En cuanto a la penetración de instalaciones con algún sistema de almacenamiento de energía, tenemos que, de la potencia que podría entrar en funcionamiento en los próximos años, casi el 60% corresponde a proyectos con almacenamiento, y el 40% a proyectos sin almacenamiento.
