Situación actual en la UE A comienzos de 2010 no existen en la Unión Europea (fuera de España) proyectos en operación, si bien está previsto que a lo largo del año entre en funcionamiento la central “Archimedes”. El proyecto “Archimedes” es una central en construcción en Italia, cuya tecnología es de colectores cilindroparabólicos de 5 MW con sales fundidas como fluido caloportador y tecnología de almacenamiento. Esta central contará con almacenamiento para 8 horas a potencia nominal, y generará vapor sobrecalentado a 530 oC. En Creta (Grecia) está en construcción el proyecto “Theseus”, central cilindroparabólica de 50 MW sin almacenamiento, con aceite térmico como fluido caloportador. Situación actual en España En octubre de 2009 contaban con solicitud de acceso a la red de transporte y distribución, y por tanto con aval depositado según Real Decreto 1955/2000, proyectos que suman una potencia total de 15.563 MW. A la red de transporte habían solicitado acceso 11.790 MW y a la red de distribución 3.773 MW. En 2010 estos datos apenas presentan variación. Corresponden a la categoría avales de la figura. De estos 15.563 MW con solicitud de acceso se puede considerar que, al finalizar 2010, tenemos 2.471 MW en fase de operación, construcción o promoción avanzada, la mayoría de tecnología cilindroparabólica con una potencia de 50 MW y con puesta en marcha (PEM) prevista anterior a 2014. Figura 4.11.4. Distribución en MW del estado de las instalaciones identificadas49 a fin de 2010 49 Se entiende por proyectos en operación aquellos que cuentan con inscripción definitiva en el RIPRE. Proyectos en construcción son aquellos que se estima estarán en funcionamiento en 2011, y que por tanto deben haber comenzado la ejecución; también abarca esta categoría a los proyectos que aunque hayan finalizado los trabajos de construcción no cuentan con inscripción definitiva en el RIPRE. Proyectos en promoción son el resto de proyectos inscritos en el Registro de preasignación de retribución (RPR). La suma de operación, construcción y promoción coincide con los proyectos inscritos en el RIPRE y en el RPR (2.471 MW).
