Posteriormente el mercado disminuyó un 10% en 2009 con valores todavía superiores a los 4 millones de m2 y un 13% en 2010 debido a la recesión en el mercado de la construcción . Aunque el mercado alemán fue el gran artífice de este crecimiento, doblando sus cifras respecto de 2007, también se produjeron grandes avances en mercados más pequeños. Figura 4.10.4. La caída del mercado solar en 2007 fue causada, entre otras razones, por las duras condiciones económicas que golpearon el mercado de equipos.
