El compostaje supone un 7% de utilización, seguido del uso en la industria cementera con un 6%. La valorización energética en las propias instalaciones apenas alcanza el 1% a día de hoy. La previsión de la evolución de la generación de este tipo de residuos y la fracción considerada como disponible para valorización energética (excluidos otros usos) es: Tabla 4.8.16.
