En el año 2008, la sustitución en términos energéticos de combustibles fósiles por CDR y/o CSR en el sector cementero europeo alcanzó el 21%. De igual forma que ocurría con la incineración, el porcentaje de sustitución varía mucho de un país a otro: así, mientras España, Italia o Polonia tienen porcentajes de sustitución inferiores al 10%, países como Alemania, Bélgica, Suecia, Finlandia o Austria tienen valores superiores al 50%, siendo particular el caso holandés, con más de un 80% de sustitución. Situación actual en España En los últimos años, se vienen generando en España en torno a 23-24 millones de toneladas anuales de residuos domésticos y similares. Concretamente en el año 2009, según el Informe “El medio ambiente y el medio rural y marino en España 2010”: Tabla 4.8.6.
