Geotermia para usos térmicos Para analizar la evolución de la geotermia para usos térmicos, se ha separado en dos tipos de aplicaciones: o Energía geotérmica, excluyendo el calor geotérmico de temperatura baja en aplicaciones de bomba de calor En este caso, la potencia actual instalada de geotermia se trata de aplicaciones de usos directos, correspondientes a balnearios e invernaderos, realizadas en los años ochenta. Las estimaciones futuras indican que este tipo de aplicaciones no va a crecer a lo largo del periodo del estudio, por lo que se mantiene constante su cuantía. Por otro lado, se estima que a partir del año 2015 podrían ir entrando en marcha varios proyectos de red de climatización geotérmica, que actualmente están en fases de exploración e investigación y tramitando las autorizaciones administrativas necesarias. Se estima que para el año 2020 la contribución térmica de esta energía sea de 9,5 ktep. Figura 4.6.30. En estos últimos años, se ha producido un incremento notable en instalaciones geotérmicas con bomba de calor con un crecimiento superior al 30%, por lo que las previsiones futuras son que se estabilice la tendencia actual y durante los primeros 5 años este sector evolucione con una tasa de crecimiento de aproximadamente el 15% y a partir del 2015, una vez consolidado el mercado, se mantenga en tasas del 10-12%. Se estima que la contribución de la energía geotérmica procedente de bomba de calor será de 40,5 ktep al año 2020. Figura 4.6.31.
