Procedencia Objetivo PER 2020 (t/a) Biomasa industrias agrícolas 5.102.115 Biomasa industrias forestales 4.487.085 Lejías negras 1.772.481 Total biomasa industrial 11.361.681 4.4 Sector de energías del mar 4.4.1 Descripción del sector Los mares y océanos constituyen el mayor colector solar y el sistema de almacenamiento de energía más grande del mundo, lo que supone un enorme potencial energético que, mediante diferentes tecnologías, puede ser transformado en electricidad y contribuir a satisfacer las necesidades energéticas actuales. El recurso energético existente en el mar se manifiesta de distintas formas: oleaje, corrientes marinas, mareas, diferencias de temperaturas o gradientes térmicos y diferencias de salinidad, lo que da lugar a las diferentes tecnologías claramente diferenciadas para el aprovechamiento de la energía del mar: - Energía de las mareas o mareomotriz. - Energía de las corrientes. - Energía maremotérmica. - Energía de las olas o undimotriz - Energía azul o potencia osmótica. En el siguiente gráfico se muestra la distribución de las diferentes tipologías de energías del mar a lo largo del mundo: Figura 4.4.1.
