En el gráfico siguiente se compara esta disponibilidad total de aceite de procedencia nacional con la que se necesitaría para las distintas aplicaciones posibles. Las líneas indican: - Alimentación y otros: cantidad total de aceite requerida de acuerdo con las hipótesis señaladas anteriormente. Para estos usos sólo no sería aplicable el aceite reciclado. En el gráfico se observa que ni siquiera dedicando la producción nacional íntegramente para este fin se cubriría la demanda prevista (por un escaso margen, cada vez más reducido a lo largo de la década). - Objetivo biodiésel: cantidad total de aceite necesaria para fabricar el biodiésel previsto en los objetivos. Como se ve en el gráfico, aunque todo el aceite disponible se dedicara a la producción de biodiésel el cumplimiento de los objetivos requeriría además la importación de aceites (o materias primas para la producción de éstos). - Capacidad instalada: cantidad total de aceite que haría falta para abastecer a la industria nacional de fabricación de biodiésel de modo que se aprovechara el 100% de la capacidad instalada. En este caso, el aceite disponible de origen nacional apenas alcanzaría para cubrir la quinta parte de lo necesario. El resto debería realizarse con aceite importado. Figura 4.1.18.
