Su metodología de cálculo ha sido definida dentro de la mencionada directiva, donde España ha adquirido un objetivo de un 20%, para el horizonte 2020. Este nuevo indicador tiene por objetivo reflejar más fielmente la aportación renovable en todos los consumos finales de la energía, incorporando en su cálculo metodologías de normalización y armonización. En el escenario de referencia, este indicador se incrementaría un 32% con respecto al año base 2010, alcanzando en el año 2020, véase la figura 3.3.7, un valor del 17,4%. Valor insuficiente para cumplir con los objetivos de España para ese año. Figura 3.3.7.
