He is able to give instant feedback, and the welder gets a visual explanation of the results immediately. No waiting for x-ray results or even lab results. He has a unique concept of accessing welds for certification under AS/NZS 2980:2007 Standard. Brian’s qualifications are as follows: Advanced Trade Boilermaker/Welder, 20 years in the light to medium engineering fields, 9 years as a tutor at polytech and while in this position, studying to assess welds to the old 4711 standard and completing AS2214 Welding Supervisor. This also enables him to write Prequalified Welding Procedures along with Welding Procedures. Brian has most of the common Welding Procedures in-house, so if a client requires a copy they can be purchased for a minimal charge, and this keeps the certification costs down. Brian is based in Wanganui and is fully mobile and can travel nationwide. Ideally, Brian will base himself in one region for several days and see as many clients as possible in order to keep costs down.
