GEOPLAT is also taking part in collaborative activities with other technology platforms in Spain and Europe. The most GEOPLAT-linked Spanish technology platforms are the CO2 Spanish Technology Platform (PTE-CO2), the Energy Efficiency Spanish Technology Platform (PTE-EE) and the Construction Spanish Technology Platform. Furthermore, GEOPLAT is playing important roles in the European geothermal scene, collaborating from the beginning with two technology platforms, helping to define their structures and design their strategic research guidelines, contributing with contents and supporting all the important initiatives they lead. In addition, GEOPLAT participated in the organization of the First General Assembly of the Renewable Heating & Cooling European Technology Platform (RHC-Platform) in February 2010. GEOPLAT has also contributed to the creation of the ―Document of Vision for 2020, 2030 and 2050‖ of the RHC- Platform Geothermal Panel. In 2010, GEOPLAT (represented by its steering committee member Javier Urchueguía) achieved the presidency of this Geothermal Panel. In 2010, GEOPLAT also contributed to the elaboration of the ―Document of Vision for 2050‖ of the Geothermal Electricity Platform GEOELEC (promoted by the European Geothermal Energy Council- EGEC).
