The total exergy destruction for the whole system is 1.34 kW for this case. The largest exergy destruction is in the boiler at 46.42% which is expected due to the heat transfer process involved in that component. The expander has almost 45% of the exergy destruction share which shows that there is potential for large improvement in this component. This large share of exergy destruction in the expander can be explained by the low isentropic efficiency which is 28.76%.
