148. FRU – Field Replaceable Unit. 149. FUEL SYSTEM – A group of components that are designed to deliver fuel to the system. Typically the fuel system is comprised of: Fuel lines, flow control device(s), solenoids, shut-off valve, fuel filter, and fuel flow controller. 150. GD&T – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, per ANSI Y14.5. 151. GENERATOR - The portion of the turbine engine that produces electrical power during normal operation. The generator is also used as a motor during startup and cool down. 152. GRI – Gas Research Institute. 153. GRID CONNECTED (GC) - Operating with the MicroTurbine load also connected to the utility’s power distribution grid. In this mode of operation, we prevent any supply of power to the output if the grid voltage is outside the normal range (typically ±10% of nominal) as a safety feature. 154. GROSS POWER – The power generated by the MicroTurbine when measured at the generator leads. Gross Power does not account for the parasitic losses of the complete system. Generally Gross Power is expressed relative to ISO standard conditions. 155. GSR - Gold System Release. 156. H2S – Hydrogen Sulfide. See Sweet Gas and Sour Gas. 157. HARD FAILURE - Failures that require a repair to the unit to continue operation. 158. HARNESS ASSEMBLY – A prefabricated wire assembly with terminals or connectors attached at multiple locations (more than two (2)). Harness assembly may also have an accessory, such as a thermocouple, permanently attached to the assembly. 159. HCB – Hybrid Control Board. Consolidation of BCM, LCM, and HEV control boards into one (1) board, configurable through hardware connection and software. 160. HEV - Hybrid Electric Vehicle. 161. HEX FILE – specific software build file that can be downloaded onto a hardware platform or programmed into a ROM device. 162. HFC – Helical Flow Compressor. 163. HIP (HIPed) – Hot Isostatically Pressed. 164. HoA - Heads of Agreement. 165. HOT SECTION – MicroTurbine components aft of the heat shield. Components include the turbine rotor, turbine nozzle, and combustor liner assembly. 166. HOUSEKEEPING SUPPLY – The single low voltage power supply in a controller. The DPC controller, for example, uses a 13.8 volt DC housekeeping supply to provide energy to the logic elements, the solenoids, the fans, and the valves. 167. HP (1) – High Pressure (fuel/gas). 168. HP, hp (2) - Horsepower. 169. Hp-hr – Horsepower hour. 170. HS FAN – Heatsink fan. A high flow induction motor used to cool the entire subassembly including IGBT heatsink, power supply, inductors, EMI filter, and brake resistor. 171. Hz – Hertz (frequency). 172. IC – Internal Combustion. 173. IEEE – Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. 174. IFA – Issued For Approval. 175. IFC – Issued For Construction. 176.
