Attachment 1 : List of Acronyms 1. ACCESSORIES – Items of equipment that are required for system operation. Examples include exciter, fuel pressure regulator, and drain valve. 2. ACFM – Actual cubic feet per minute flow at operating temperature and pressure. 3. ACM – Ambient Climate Module. Contains atmospheric pressure transducer, ambient temperature, and can incorporate a differential pressure transducer across the inlet filter. 4. AFR – Air Fuel Ratio. See FAR. 5. AIR INTAKE ASSEMBLY – Assembly that directs engine intake airflow into the MicroTurbine. Contains sound attenuating material to reduce high frequency noise signature; a filter is housed in the assembly to provide filtered air to the MicroTurbine generator. 6. AML – Approved Manufacturer List, (defined by design). 7. AMPERE (AMP) – The unit of measurement of the current produced in a circuit by one (1) volt acting through a resistance of one (1) ohm. The measure of the rate of flow of electrons past a given point in an electric conductor. 8. AMS – Aerospace Material Specification. 9. ANSI – American National Standards Institute. 10. AOB – Any Other Business. 11. AQMD – Air Quality Management District. 12. APPARENT POWER – The product of the root-mean-square current and the root-mean- square voltage. 13. APPROVED PROCESS – An external process that is approved by Capstone and agreed upon by the process supplier. The supplier is not allowed to revise the process when used on Capstone material or product without prior written approval. Used on technically sensitive or proprietary processes. 14. AR (A/R) – As Required. 15. ASL – Approved Supplier List, (defined by operations). 16. ASME – American Society of Mechanical Engineers. 17. ASPS – Allied Signal Power Systems. 18. ASQ – American Society for Quality. 19. ASSEMBLY – Two or more detail parts assembled together. 20. ASTM – American Society for Testing and Materials. 21. ATE – Automatic Test Equipment. 22. ATP – Acceptance Test Procedure. Test(s) that is (are) used to verify that components, assemblies, modules, or MicroTurbine system meets specified requirements within a prescribed range. This term is also used generically to refer to the test itself. One of these tests is designed for each major subassembly in the MicroTurbine. The test is performed on each instance of the subassembly after its final assembly and before the subassembly is approved by Capstone for customer use. 23. ATS – Advance Turbine Systems. 24. AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR – An “Authorized” Reseller of the Products (MicroTurbines and service parts).
