LYSHOLM ENGINE 4 The University of California Lysholm engine is a mod- ified Gardener Denver air engine. The two helical rotors are 6.519 inches long and 5L12 inches in diameter. consist of one female rotor vith six lobes and one male ~- rotor with four lobes (Figures 2,3). The four lobe rotor rotates one and a half times for each revolution of the six lobe rotor. The shaft of the high speed rotor is the engine output shaft.
