i think its disgusting how greedy people get. it should be illegal for a non alaska born person to own a business. bernie isnt making enough money already? he should hitchhike back to montanna and build his animal park there. look at the list of realtors in fairbanks, all of them are rich peoples wives,how disgusting and greedy the lower 48 people are who come north to plunder my state. the bottom line about my post is greed will get you in the end . hey if youre a millionaire why have youre wife go to work,you are just taking a job away from an alaskan who was born here,and its only fitting that all the success should be enjoyed by real alaskans, not lesser 48 rejects looking to plunder alaskas wealth. report abuse « TeaPartyPatriot wrote on Saturday, Jan 29 at 11:12 AM » I see the petty people here posting about the locker rooms at CHSR and Bernie's political connections. The locker rooms are trivial compared to Bernie's accomplishments and his political connections are just part of being in business. Remember Steve Frank that owns Riverview along with his wife. He was a State Senator and I think his wife is still a lobbyist in Juneau. John Binckley of the Riverboat Discovery etc. was a State Senator. And how about Jay Ramras that owns Pike's Landing, etc? He is a State of Alaska Representative for District 10. He drilled wells to increase the hot water flow. He built the rock pond. He also installed a specially designed hot water electrical generators to generate power for CHSR. I would put him right up there with....well I don't know of any other Alaskans that come close. With all their engineering might and money the State of Alaska failed to build a successful 50 megawatt clean coal power plant at Healy even after wasting $350 million. Since then it has continued to go downhill, lockers as described, many broken features/items, general run-down many areas. Only attempts to pump up the tourist volume, let the rest take it's natural course. What he does best is hold hands with Lisa at the "Special" events. Yes, he wants as many dollars for a dime as he can get his hands on, at the taxpayers expense.
