This is a revolutionary improvement to developing HVAC systems, which is currently one of the major prohibitors of EnergyPlus being used by the general public. This tool is currently limited to single zone air delivery systems, but additional system types and functionality are currently under development. The Building Component Library is another significant addition that will serve as an open database of building components that can be assessed and used by anyone. The database will contain the following information: Weather files and water mains temperature data Building materials HVAC system performance curves Lighting systems (lamps, ballasts, fixtures) Motors Plug load equipment Building components (desks, cubicles, etc.).
