The ion-adsorption ores show REE grades from 131 to 589 ppm and LaN/YbN ratios from 0.23 to 1.5 (Ma et al., 1991; Wu et al., 1993b), which suggest strong enrichment in HREE (Figs. 40F,G and 41D). The LREE-rich Heling deposits are located in Xunwu County of Jiangxi Province. A weathering profile is mainly developed on the Heling granite por- phyry, which is surrounded by rhyolitic lava and tuff. The granite porphyry has high alkali (Na2O+K2O) contents (Bao and Zhao, 2008; Song and Shen, 1986; Yang et al., 1981; Zhang, 1990) compared to calc-alkaline gran- ites in other deposits, suggesting a low degree of partial melting. The REE content of the granite porphyry is 808 ppm, significantly higher than those of calc-alkaline granites associated with other deposits. The Heling granite are enriched in LREEs and depleted in HREEs and are predominantly contained in bastnäsite-(Ce) and apatite with subdominant in zircon, mona- zite, fergusonite, and synchysite-(Y). The ion-adsorption ores of Heling show high REE grade ranging widely from 510 to 6460 ppm, and high LaN/YbN ratios of 42–121 compared to the Longnan ores, because the underlying parent rocks were originally rich in REEs (particularly in LREEs; Fig. 41F).
